Shoebox program

This program is intended for all those shutterbugs who have accumulated hundreds of precious photos over the years, piled pell-mell in shoe boxes and overflowing albums. This promotion, which includes regular (4x6-5x7-6x8-8x10) or smaller sizes, allows you to save your treasured memories on a CD or DVD for the low price of 19 *¢ per photo.

Once your photos are available digitally, they can be easily shared with friends and family. This is an excellent way to share all the precious moments in your life with others.

For the Shoebox program, photos are scanned at 300 dpi, the ideal standard for printing or viewing on a TV or computer. However, photos can also be scanned at 600 dpi. Refer to the attached examples by clicking on the magnifying glass; you can examine the results yourself and make the choice that best suits your needs.

Don't have a computer at home? No problem! Using the photos you selected, we can prepare a top-quality slideshow you can view in your DVD player. You can relax in front of your

TV and relive the special moments from your life you decided to immortalize. This affordable option includes a CD with all your photos and a DVD you can view as many times as you want.

If you live outside Montreal, you can mail us your photos along with a duly completed order form. After they are processed, your scanned photos will be returned to you in the same way.

If you'd like to put together a personalized presentation for a special event, we can help you assemble a more complex slideshow including text and music.

This quick guide can help you properly prepare your photos before submitting them for scanning.

Preparation

First, it's important to remember that clear, clean photos provide the best results! That's why it's important to take the following steps with your photos before sending them to us.

1. Remove all glue and tape residue or other dirt found on both the front and back of your photos.

2. Dust them off using a dry, clean cloth.

3. Make sure there are no tears or cracks, as such damaged photos may be removed from your order.

Organization

Organize your photos by size and orientation.

 1. Separate the photos by size. For example, put all the 3 ½x5, 4x6, etc. together.

 2. Pay particular attention to the direction of your photos so they are all stacked in a similar direction (from bottom to top).

 3. Although it is not necessary to separate portrait from landscape photos, they should be grouped by orientation. For example, if you are submitting several format 4x6 photos, first place the landscape photos, then the portrait photos.

 4. Place your photos in appropriately sized envelopes. If you do not have any, we would be pleased to provide some to you free of charge.
